Royal Winter Fair '2011

These are some of the drawing I did at the Royal Winter Fair this month. Some are really quick and others are a bit rendered and finished. I was thinking more about the whole composition and environment rather than just the animal itself.

Pan Layout

Pan layout for action analysis including overlays(OL), underlays(UL), character and effects level. I am not sure how is it going to work out when I actually pan it. But for that I will have to separate all layers. Will try it out soon...

Stop Motion - Car Crash

Stop motion timing assignment. This is straight ahead animation which means we can't key in first. It is done in one go. It can't be re-timed as well.

Mushroom Jump - Stretch & Squash - Maya

This was my first animation attempt in Maya. It was mainly to explore the possibilities of animating in Maya using stretch and squash. I did not rig the mushroom but animation was done by me. I like how it feels like it has got weight to it when it falls.

Some 5 and 10 minute foot studies. I can't draw hands and feet at all but I am trying to learn it.

This is the final version. I kinda rushed it in the end. Not the best I could have done.

 We had to create heores and villians based on our life drawings done in class. I chose these three and tried to communicate a story out of it as well. I am not sure which composition is better out of the two. Still debating~~! I'll put up the final cleaned up version soon.

Second animation assignment in second year....i spent 80% of my time doing the lift, no wonder the toss is crappy..!! I should learn time management....lol

Leica for 'I Love You'

'I Love You' Storyboard

This was the first storyboard we did in second year. 'I Love You' was the theme given to us and we had to come up with our own stories and characters. I had my story and characters from an assignment I did in first year, so I used those for this storyboard..

Wave boat sack animation

This is the first animation assignment I did for my animation class in second year at sheridan college....Since it is a cycle, we had to do a hook-up. This was the first hook-up I did in animation...and it was a real pain...the splash didn't turn out well either..
And yeah, I did the wave 5 times...lol

Alice in Wonderland

This is a dialogue recoding from Alice in Wonderland done by me and my friend Maria Hurtado. It was a second year sound project. We had to be in sync with the cartoon characters but we could change the words. We basically re-recorded all the dialogues and bg sound you can hear in the video. I did the caterpillar voice and maria did Alice. :)

Walk and run animation

This was my second animation assignment in which I had to do a walk cycle and a run cycle including character interaction....I thought animation will be a tough job to do, but putting it together was a pain...maybe because it was my first assignment done on different animation levels..! It didn't turn out to be really good...but i'll try to do it again in my summer break..with colour, sound and better animation :)

Gouache paintings

24 hour cycle

 We had to do a 24 hour cycle in gouache. This shows the tasks I do in a whole day...This was done when I was in art fundamentals

This is a simple and quick gouache painting just to test the paint for the first time :)
